Arisaig
Every now and again along the way, when we are least expecting it, we find ourselves in one of those places that we will never forget. This time it was Arisaig, on the west coast of Scotland just below Mallaig. After a hard mornings pedalling, up and down some long drags of hills, in the wind and rain, we found ourselves in this small coastal village. Much to Jilly’s delight we had also pulled up outside the local cafe!.. and it was lunch time! In we went for coffee to warm up and jacket potato to get us revved up for a few more miles. As we sat down and ordered we got chatting to a local chap about the local area and our adventure. A very friendly chap he was too, who recommended a local campsite and also that we returned to the cafe for dinner that night. Thank you ‘Tattie Man’ your recommendations were spot on and much appreciated. The cafe was also excellent and if anyone is ever in this area we would definately recommend Cafe Rhu for excellent food and friendly service in a nice atmosphere, for lunch or dinner! The campsite up the road had excellent facilities and lovely welcoming owners, next to some delightful little beaches. Sunnyside Croft Campsite is certainly worth a visit. We will be back sometime…
